While my main performance medium is Yiddish, I have written and recorded quite a number of songs in English (and some in French as well).  There are songs in English, or partially in English, on all my albums except for Pashtes (all Yiddish) and Songs for the Breathing Walls (all Hebrew). Because there are pressing issues that I feel I need to address, I have recently written several English songs that are more of the singer-songwriter variety, and am planning to record and release them as an EP in late 2013. In 2014, I am planning to publish a compilation of  my 14 strongest English songs spanning 14 years of recordings, under the working title "When the River Runs Dry."  Right now, you are listening to a sample  from my second album Open the Gate. "Bohemia" addresses the bitterness I felt, leaving my native country.
